Tourtour
Standing at an altitude of 635 m, Tourtour is nicknamed “the village in the Provence sky”, and rightly so. The stone houses topped with round tiles, the Place des Ormeaux with its eight fountains, the vaulted passageways and sun-drenched alleyways… It’s all there! The walls of the medieval castle and the 17th-century château testify to many of the village’s past…
It has been awarded as one of “Les plus beaux village de France”. A must see!
Ampus
Tucked away in the foothills of the Verdon at an altitude of 600 metres, Ampus, a village full of character, reveals its Provencal soul. Take a stroll along the water trail and the Way of the Cross before taking your time in the village centre, close to the fountain.
It was in this village that our grandfather chose to settle many years ago, before building the gîtes in 2008.
Since then, we’ve welcomed guests every year!
The Gorges du Verdon
The Gorges du Verdon spring near the Col d’Allos and extend for around 100 km. In some places, they are a vertiginous 750 metres deep! Its sheer size makes it the largest canyon in Europe and one of the most beautiful place in France.
Lac de Sainte-Croix, the gateway to the Gorges du Verdon, is the third largest lake in France. You will find a lot of Outdoor activities there.
